Ryan's Well Foundation
Ryan's Well Foundation (www.ryanswell.ca) is a not-for-profit organization led by 14-year old Ryan Hreljac, from Kemptville, Ontario, Canada. At age six Ryan participated in a project to raise money to drill a well to provide fresh water to a village in Africa. This simple project lead Ryan to create a Foundation dedicated to pursing his vision of clean water for all of Africa. Since then, Ryan has raised more than $1,000,000, traveled extensively around the world, improved the quality of life for thousands in developing countries, and educated hundreds of thousands on water-related issues. The Foundation's efforts have resulted in the drilling of approximately 197 wells to date. Ryan has been on the Oprah Show twice, has been on the cover of Readers Digest, and has been featured in MacLeans magazine, on Canada AM and CTV National News, as well as many other TV shows and publications.
